Privacy Policy

Alex Sloley ("I", "me") operates alexsloley.com. This policy explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give me directly:

• Contact form submissions: your name, email address, and message
• Email subscription: your email address when you sign up for blog updates
• Chat: messages you send through the website chat

Information collected through bookings and registrations:

• Training registrations are processed by Eventbrite. When you register for a course, Eventbrite shares your registration details (name, email, ticket type) with me as the event organizer
• Meeting bookings are processed by Calendly and include your name, email, and any details you provide when booking
• Payments for some services are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your card details

Information collected automatically:

• This site uses Google Analytics and GoDaddy analytics to understand site traffic: pages visited, approximate location, device type, and referral source
• Cookies support analytics and site functionality. You can decline non-essential cookies via the cookie banner or your browser settings

Information from webinar partners:

• When I host webinars with partners such as Scrum Alliance®, attendees who explicitly opt in to hear from me during registration may have their name and email shared with me by the partner

• To respond to your inquiries and messages
• To deliver training you registered for, including joining instructions and course materials
• To send blog updates and occasional training announcements if you subscribed or opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link
• To understand how the site is used and improve it

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with third parties except the service providers named above, who process it on my behalf.

This site and my business rely on these providers, each with their own privacy policy: GoDaddy (website hosting, forms, chat), Google Analytics, Eventbrite (course registration), Calendly (meeting booking), Stripe (payments), and Scrum Alliance® (webinar co-hosting and certification processing).

When you complete a Scrum Alliance® certification course with me, your name and email are submitted to Scrum Alliance® so your credential and 2-year membership can be issued.

I keep contact and registration information for as long as needed to deliver services and meet record-keeping obligations, then delete it. You can request deletion at any time.

You can ask me at any time to:

• Access the personal information I hold about you
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Unsubscribe you from emails (or use the link in any email)

I am based in Sydney, Australia, and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, I honor access, correction, and deletion requests as described above regardless of where you live.

I may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version.
